The history of SK Licenssvets

SK Licenssvets Frölunda AB is a family company founded by Jarmo Suopanki in 1989 and based in Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg. It started with the idea of ​​maintaining an outstanding welding competence and carrying out work in steel and construction. The name SK Licenssvets stands for “Welding” and “Construction” Licenssvets. Jarmo, who was the company’s CEO until 2014 when he handed over the company’s governing CEO position to his son Christian, who now continues to drive the company forward with the same commitment and drive as his father.

Outstanding welding skills

Over the years, the company developed gradually and today performs extensive contracts with high demands on resources, quality and efficiency. The starting point of the business is the workshop, but the company has an extensive geographic market. Installations and license welding are done for industry and energy plants in Sweden and our high welding expertise today also takes place internationally.

Capacity that can be compared

SK Licenssvets currently consists of 30 permanent employees and up to 60 hired welders and fitters, which means that we have resources for larger and more extensive contracts and maintenance stoppages. With the UC GOLD rating, we have the highest credit rating, which makes us a secure partner who has the financial capacity for the larger projects.

UC GULD indicates that SK LICENSSVETS FRÖLUNDA AB is a safe and solid partner to do business with. The credit rating is based on UC Risk Företag, which is the market’s safest model for credit assessment. UC Risk is updated daily and assesses the probability of a company going bankrupt within a year ”.
SK Licenssvets are certified according to SS-EN 1090-1 and SS-EN 3834-2 and constantly work to maintain the requirements set by the certifications.

All our procedures and trials are inspected and qualified by an accredited body. We have a characteristically wide coverage area with procedures and tests that allow us to perform qualified welding in most weldable metals and installations in accordance with AFS – The Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations and the European Pressure Equipment Directive PED – Pressure Equipment Directive.
